This tape is from 1986, with Denise as perky as ever, but with brown hair, and a cut out leotard that shows us just how hard a tummy can get.
It starts with about 4 minutes of standing exercises (mostly waist bends) that are easy and make a good warm-up.
The following section is comprised of floor exercises that I didn't find too difficult (except for the last one, which can used as a "goal" !), but definitely felt "the burn", so I knew they were working.
This video has several advantages.
# 1: It's so short that there's no excuse not to do the routine at least 4 times a week.
# 2: Your muscles will tell you it's extremely well thought out and effective....oh that burn !
# 3: It takes very little space, so if you have a small room, this is the tape for you ! A 4 x 5 carpet or mat will do very nicely.
The simple set looks like a low-budget production...it has several TV monitors, which on occasion show different angles to the movements which is useful, and some mannequins standing around...for whatever reason ! It also has music (by Roger Hatfield) that sounds a little like the intro to Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean", and will help you keep going and going. This tape is excellent, and a shame that it's out of print, but it's not hard to find used, and well worth the purchase.
